IASC 2025 – General remarks and transparency

The decision to hold IASC 2025 in Poland was made back in 2019, and it was initially planned for 2021. Since then, major global events—pandemic, inflation, war in Europe—have reshaped economies and societies. More changes in European-American relations are happening right now, and nobody knows how they will end up. Heathen gatherings have also evolved in the meantime, with some thriving and others fading.

Uncertainty remains about attendance, and this year’s venue offers more accommodation options than past youth hostel settings, making price calculations more complex. To ensure financial stability, we opted for a conservative, cost-covering pricing model based on 2024 quotations from Camping Julia. Exchange rate fluctuations may impact final costs, but the site might reduce the prices if conditions improve. If this happens we will pass on reductions to our visitors before they have to make their final payments.

To be fully transparent, we calculated on a cost-covering basis with just a tiny surcharge for general organisational and payment costs. This left no overhead for a lot of sponsoring, and therefore, we regrettably had to drop the “completely free” for small children and “half-price” for older children. Due to budget constraints, we had to adjust child pricing:

Ages 1-9: 2/3 concession from adult price
Ages 10-15: 1/3 concession from adult price

Solidarity pricing is available for those who can contribute more, and the IASC Auction will also help fund sponsorships. Booking indoor accommodations for a full week may also unlock venue discounts.

Please take a look at the accommodation options and their prices. It will later help you get through the booking process. Also, take a look at the travel hints, especially if you plan to come by plane.
